EBC X and XC Rotors - Fully floating front rotors for street and road race use |

Perfect for Racing! |
 |
|
|
Ultra lightweight new EBC X series floating front rotors for sportbikes and road racers are now available from EBC Dealers across the USA although as a new line many dealers will have to special order these for you (takes 2-3 days).
The new rotors feature EBC's unique and patented S-Drive button system which features square sided rivets captured in square drive pockets on the rotor and hub which allow the outer rotor blade to expand and contract freely under the heat of braking without suffering rivet lock. Rivet lock is the term used when rotors heat up under heavy braking and the rotor blade contacts the (normally circular) rivets that separate the inner rotor hub and the outer rotor blade.
The new EBC system completely eliminates this problem area which causes 100% of the failures of rotors suffering from distortion and brake vibration.
The new EBC rotors come in two choices of full circle traditional X series and the new profiled contour XC (for contour) series which reduces weight even further and improve brake modulation.
All featuring NEW EBC PATENTED S-DRIVE SYSTEM
What is S-Drive? EBC's new square sided drive button system completely eliminates the chance of rotor warping, extends rotor life and improves consistency of brake effect. Click here for more details.

The steel used in the new EBC rotor blades is also a special stainless blend with higher friction effect than normal heat treated stainless steel found on stock discs and boasts up to 10% improvement in friction effect improving brakes even further.
Weight of the new X and XC series is then reduced by another 5-10% by using a 6 only button drive system on a lightweight alloy centre hub which once again grabs the lead over stock parts which cannot be switched to the lighter 6 button system on alloy hubs because they are still stuck in a rut using circular rivets . Circular rivets demand more contact points to get the same geometric centralisation and still avoid generating slack in the drive direction because , being circles inside circles they only offer point contact. The SD system employs LINE contact and as such rotor blades are much more positively retained about the centre hub and never go slack in the drive direction even after abuse.

EBC Pro-lite Floating Front Discs/Rotors |
|
The EBC Pro-lite series has become an aftermarket standard worldwide because of its very close similarity to the original disc but offering a higher friction (18% extra) braking power over stainless steel and being a safe, riveted, sturdy construction as opposed to the risky circlip system used by some of our competitors. If the OEM manufacturers thought circlips were a good idea, they would have put them on the original bikes. It is also worth explaining to your customers the false economy of buying replacement rotor ring kits with the risky circlip systems.

|
The latest upgrade brake rotor offering from EBC Brakes for performance motorcycles is the newly designed CONTOUR PLUS brake rotor for floating front brake systems. EBC Pro-lite Contour Plus simply bolt-on to replace your existing front floating brake rotors and offer many advantages that improve both performance and looks of your superbike such as lightest weight contoured rotor profile, stainless steel rotor, lightweight forged alloy centre hubs, new scraper slot system in rotor improves pad performance during bed-in and prevents rotor damage in early heavy braking. The sturdy riveted construction using EBC's unique pressure washer system allows float but keeps rotor tight during use.

Rear Solid Contour Design |
|
With contoured profile to reduce weight, rear versions of this new programme are made in HPSR steel and zinc lated to avoid corrosion. The latest EBC contour PLUS rotors are made with special stainless steel and new lightweight profile and feature the new scraper slot system which has proved to be so successful in preventing early life rotor damage when bedding in new brakes. The scraper slots remove any loose particles/debris as the pads bed in during early life after fitment and prevent rotor scoring. |

New 2007 range brake rotors for track day and road racing
Featuring new reduced weight contoured rotor rings (blades) the latest road race and track day discs or rotors from EBC are fully riveted and feature the new S-Drive System. The benefits of S-Drive are very significant for race applications and reading the attached link below will explain why we have switched from the old alloy replaceable button system to S-Drive. All road race rotors are made from mill-hard stainless steel and feature the latest slotted scraper system to accelerate pad brake-in.

Polished "Streetfighter" Rotors for Sport & Custom Streetbikes |
|
Custom Polished brake rotors for streetfighter/naked bikes
New for 2007 the range of high lustre brake rotors featuring stainless steel brake rotor rings/blades and a polished and heat lacquered alloy centre. The heat lacquered centre does not lose its lustre and no attempt should be made to polish the centre hub which will destroy the lacquer coating. All units feature the contoured profile and slotted rotor profile as shown opposite which greatly improves pad break-in and reduces rotor damage (rotor galling).

Stainless Steel Custom Rotors for American Motorcycles |
|
| Custom Polished brake rotors for American motorcycles |
New for 2007 the range of high lustre brake rotors featuring stainless steel brake rotor rings/blades and a polished stainless steel centre hub. Newer units feature the contoured profile and slotted rotor profile as shown opposite which greatly improves pad break-in and reduces rotor damage (rotor galling). The reason we have opted for stainless steel centre hubs is due to the weight and heavy duty nature of larger American motorcycles often using twin cylinder technology which can lead to more vibration or frame shake.
Front applications We now offer a range of 5 spoke solid brake rotors as shown above left (type 1) and a choice of 5 spoke floating rotors (type 2) in full circle rotor blade design or contoured profile blade design (type 3).
Rear applications We now offer a choice of full circle profile (type 5) or contoured profile (type 4) and both units feature the sturdy 10 button EBC riveted system.
All components stainless. Rivets, washers and spring pressure washers plus both the hub and the rotor blade are stainless steel, no rusty rotors with EBC's new deluze American motorcycle range.
